Exposure for an individual event as evolved from being put on a team and just play a bunch of games without any type of instruction or training. Getting better at the game of basketball takes more than shooting, dribbling, and passing repetitions. It takes attention to details, dedicated training, and no one can do it better for the female athlete than the staff at the Show and Prove Elite Camp.
This year marks the 10th year of competition for the Showcase (formerly Super Showcase in Atlanta, GA combining with the showcase coming from New York). We have featured such stars as current professional players Latangela Atkinson (Seattle Storm), Ivory Latta (Tulsa Shock), Courtney Paris (Atlanta Dream), Dewanna Bonner (Phoenix Mercury) ), and former WNBA players Sherrill Baker, Erica White, Ashley Shields
Additionally, McDonald’s All-Americans Kanisha Horne (Alabama), Richa Jackson (Duke), Chante Black (Duke), Rashanda McCants (UNC), Abby Waner (Duke), Alexis-Gray-Lawson ( California) ,Jacki Gemelos ( Southern California), Tiffany Hayes (UCONN), April Sykes (Rutgers), Erica Wheeler (Rutgers), as well as NCAA Final Four participants Whitney Hand (Oklahoma), Becky Burke (Lousiville), and many more have all participated in the Showcase as well.
2011 McDonald’s participants also have participated in the past: Areil Massengale (Tennessee), Briyona Canty (Rutgers), Betnijah Laney (Rutgers), Brianna Banks (UConn), Kaleena Mosqueda- Lewis (UConn) and Cassie Peoples (Texas).
Competition for the Super Showcase Weekend will be hosted at the beautiful facilities of Boynton Beach High School (on Saturday) and Green Complex for Sports and Recreation at PBA (on Sunday)
The Academy is designed to elevate your game to new heights with deliberate skills development training with emphasis on fundamentals. Show-N-Prove is another installment in providing the best circuit for players to improve their skills as well as showcase their talents.
This year's committments include: Tiannah Alvarado (FL) Aliyah Cooley (NY) / Kaleeah Copper (PA)/ Shayla Cooper (GA), Daneajah Grant (NJ) / De Asia Jones (NJ) / Brandy Montgomery (FL) Zaire Oneal (NJ), Iesha Smalls (FL) / Anjaleace White (NJ) / Destiny Jones (FL) / Bria Johnson (LA) / Jone' Akins (FL), plenty of uncommitted 2012's and many more.
Eligible Players: Female players in the class of 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018
Individual Skill Development: Players will engage in a series of skill development drills and team drills.
Camp Teams and Games: 8-10 players per team / each player will play in three (3) games. Games consist of two (2) twenty-one minutes halves.
All-Star Games: Top campers will have an opportunity to participate in a series of All-Star Games.
Cost: $100.00/per player before September 20, 2011
